Hello to all the Tollywood fans out there! Today in this article, we will introduce you to the most loving personality named Anusha Punjala.

Anusha was born on September 18, 1994, in Hyderabad to Mr. Savanth Kumar Punjala and Mrs. Rama Rani. She has one older brother. Her parents are doctors; her father, Dr. Savanth Kumar Punjala, is a respected anesthetist and her mother, Dr. Rama Rani, is a Gynaecologist. She was born into a doctor’s family and was inclined towards biology during school time.
She comes from a strong medical background. She has different dreams, apart from what her parents dreamed of: becoming a doctor. Despite this, she found her unique path in the world of fashion and design. Anusha completed her schooling from Chirec Public School, Hyderabad and Intermediate from Chaitanya Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Then she pursued her graduation from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Hyderabad, with a Bachelor of Design degree. She also modelled, printed and ramp modelling during her college days.


At Chirec, Anusha’s journey began with a balanced mix of academics and extracurricular activities, from creative arts to sports like basketball and swimming. Her passion for art and creativity was further nurtured at NIFT, where she embraced the diverse and rich culture of fashion design.

Well, she is married to her boyfriend outside the film industry, a business consultant, whom she dated for two years before getting engaged.
Childhood Memories
Anusha Punjala recalls her early education at Chirec School, where she discovered her creative abilities and developed an interest in biology, particularly drawing detailed diagrams. She fondly recalls her struggles with mathematics, particularly trigonometry in ninth grade. Despite these challenges, her well-rounded Chirec experience shaped her interests and abilities significantly.
Her time at NIFT stands out as a watershed moment in her life when she discovered her true purpose. Convincing her parents to allow her to pursue a career in fashion was difficult, but the exposure to diverse perspectives and creative freedom she gained there made it all worthwhile.
Early Career and Training
Before stepping into independent work, Anusha assisted various stylists for about 2–3 years. This foundational experience was crucial in shaping her career in the fashion and film industries.
Hobbies and Interests
She has many hobbies and interests, such as being an avid traveler who likes to explore new places, cultures, and cuisines.


She is also fascinated by history and the evolution of mankind. Apart from this, she also enjoys swimming; she is a book reader and likes to dive into the book when she gets time; and she especially likes to read about human psychology and behavior.
Furthermore, she also likes to watch series, doodling and scribbling, collecting crystals, doing meditation, and stock market investing.
Film Career
Anusha’s journey into the industry was serendipitous. She was doing her job at Amazon as an assistant stylist. And after quitting her job, she returned to Hyderabad, where she got an opportunity to assist Pallavi Singh. This unexpected break came through a friend who was an AD on the film “Agnyaathavaasi” Working on “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” gave her invaluable insights into the film industry and set the stage for her independent career.

Inspirations
She draws inspiration from the famous costume designers of Game of Thrones, Michele Claption and Ruth E. Carter. She is also inspired by Indian costume designers, Arjun Bhasin (Suitable Boy, Gully Boy) and Sheetal Sharma (Gangubai, Sita Raman).
Furthermore, she believes her career is a continuous journey of growth and learning. She acknowledges the ups and downs but remains optimistic about the future. She is also exploring stock market investments and planning to start her own label soon.
Current Projects
Anusha is working on KA#09, Raja the Raja, and two other undisclosed projects.

She is in discussions with several directors and hopes these projects will come to fruition.
