Introduction and Education

Lavanya Reddy landed on this planet on 3rd December in Nagarjuna Sagar to Late T. Adireddy and Mrs. T. Parvathi. She is the only daughter of her parents. Lavanya’s father passed away when she was 2 years old. Her mother works in South Central Railways. Lavanya is now happily married to her boyfriend Kishore, and they are enjoying their happily married life together. She is fluent in Telugu, English, Hindi, and Sign language, showing her linguistic versatility.

Let’s shed a spotlight on her academic background. She completed her schooling, intermediate studies, and Graduation. She also did a special course in Sign Language.

School and Childhood Stories

About her childhood, she grew up in a deaf community because her mother is deaf and dumb. She communicated with Lavanya through sign language. She is a remarkable sportswoman and was not only a champion but also played international chess in the deaf community. So Lavanya’s childhood was all about accompanying her mom to different states and being her translator and constant companion.

Lavanya Reddy is a Sign Language Interpreter, acting is automatically in her blood as being an Interpreter, she needs to sign with hands and expressions. Before becoming an actor, she worked for NGOs and the deaf community, so for any deaf celebrations, she used to host voice and non-voice. For guests, she used to talk and interpret for deaf people.

Hobbies

She is a movie lover, she enjoys watching films.

Struggles and Challenges

When asked about her struggles, she shared that she didn’t have to struggle as much because she didn’t choose the industry for her career—it was chosen for her by God. Despite her years in the industry, she is still unrecognized and has to search for opportunities and prepare for auditions.

Inspiration

She draws inspiration from her mother. She saw her struggles, fighting with society to raise a girl child, even though she couldn’t hear and talk.

The First Chance…

Her first debut was in the movie Mallirava, where she played the small role of Sumanth Gari’s friend. The movie was based on Destiny and had a long story. She did not have the camera fear at all, because as an Interpreter, she is used to hosting events for deaf people off-screen. She mentioned that acting was very easy for her because she talks and acts daily in sign language to communicate with deaf people. Therefore, expressions and modulation were not tough for her. However, she faced a little challenge in dialogue delivery, on which she worked very hard by giving an infinite number of auditions. These auditions helped sharpen her dialogue delivery and enhanced her performance.

List of Movies

BatalaRamaSwamy Biopiku

She has acted in over 30 movies, including web series. In a leading role, she portrayed a character named Pichi ammayi in “BatalaRamaSwamy Biopiku” and received great appreciation for her performance. She thoroughly enjoyed playing the role of a crazy, mad girl.

Recently, she worked in the web series “Yakshini” as a hero’s sister and played the role of a fan girl in the Korean series. It was crazy and fun when she was saying Korean lines.

About Success in Career

She did not believe in fame or career success. For her, it is important to work as much as possible and receive appreciation for the work she has done so far. And yes, money plays a major role. So, for her, success is to ‘work, make money, and have a happy, healthy life.’

Ups and Downs in Your Career

It’s very common to experience ups and downs in a career. She still has to give auditions and go to offices for opportunities. Sometimes, when you’re selected, some recommendations come and steal your opportunity, which makes her feel sad. However, she believes in destiny, time, and faith. If something is destined for her, nothing can stop her. She is now a full-time actor, but she always makes time to be there as an interpreter when her mom and her association need her.
