
Sonu Sood is an Indian Actor, and he has worked in Seven – 7 different language films such as Telugu, Hindi, Punjabi, English, Kannada, Tamil, and Mandarin. Sonu Sood is not only an actor; he is even a producer, he owns a production house named “Shakti Sagar Productions”.
Sonu Sood often plays negative or antagonist roles in the film and has gained utmost popularity among the audiences as he never left them with any disappointment with his acting. Sonu Sood was born on 30 July 1973 on Monday to Mr.Shakti Sagar Sood and Mrs.Saroj Sood. Sonu Sood, a 47 year (as in 2020) actor, was born in an upper-middle-class family at Moga, Punjab, India. Sonu Sood has two siblings, elder sister Monika Sood (Scientist) and younger sister Malvika Sachar.
Sonu Sood got married to Sonali Sood in the year 1996 and the couple has two – 2 sons, Ishant Sood and Ayaan Sood.
Sonu Sood has appeared on the covers of many popular magazines such as ‘Health & Nutrition’,‘You & I’, ‘FHM,’ ‘Krunch Today’, ‘Just Urbane’, ‘Rising Star Magazine’, ‘Economic Times’, ‘Better Homes’ and many more. Sonu Sood is very particular about his fitness and is considered as a fit actor.
Sonu Sood completed his schooling from Sacred Heart School, Moga, Punjab then he joined Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur, and completed his graduation in Electronic Engineering. Sonu Sood was very much interested in Modelling and got motivated to become a model in the second year of his graduation. He left for Mumbai after completion of his graduation and started chasing for work, in the initial days it was really tough as he had to share a one-room apartment with six others. During this period, he got a job in South Mumbai in a private firm and he took up the job so that he could support his daily expenses.
As Modeling was his mainstream of interest, Sonu Sood participated in the Mr.India Grasim contest and made his position among Top 5 contestants of the competition. After a few years into modeling, Sonu Sood got noticed by a Tamil director and cast in his film.
Sonu Sood started his career as an actor in the year 1999, he made his first appearance in Tamil films Kallazhagar and Nenjinile. Then in the year 2000, Sonu Sood appeared as a villain in the film Hands up!. He then made his debut in Bollywood in the year 2002 with the film named “Shaheed-E-Azam,” later his appearance in Yuva in the year 2004 has shot his fame to the next level. Then everyone witnessed his rising graph of career, Sonu worked in many many different languages and with many well known or famed celebrities. Sonu Sood even worked with Jackie Chan in a film Kung Fu Yoga, aired in the year 2017.

Sonu Sood has made his debut in Telugu by the film Hands up in the year 2000 but the film Super that released in the year 2005 bought him the fame and from then he was a very well known or familiar face to the Telugu audiences. He broke all the records of the negative roles by playing the antagonist role in the film Arundathi released in the year 2009. This was considered his best performance until then, as he was completely into the character and added life to it.
With his flawless acting skills, Sonu Sood has received many awards as an IIFA Best Negative role award, Apsara Award for Best Actor in Negative Role, SIIMA, State Nandi Award for Best Villian and Best Supporting character.
Though he is a famous actor he even has some simple hobbies such as Playing Guitar, Kick-Boxing, and Hitting the gym regularly.
He is endorsing or is the face of many brands like Gargo International, Texmo Pipe Fitting, IG International, Fit India Movement, Yep Me, Pepsi, Adrol Lubricants, and many more.
He is a humanitarian and was lauded for his charity during the pandemic. In May 2020 during the avid nationwide lockdown due to the Corona or Covid-19 pandemic, he helped thousands of migrant workers to reach their native places or homes. He helped in relocating the workers by providing them transport facilities by arranging special trains, chartered flights, and buses.
Sonu Sood was hailed as a real hero because of his selfless charity and funds, and many such events came into light that he never made them public. One of the incidents that took place on July 25 2020 left everyone awestruck, he arranged a special chartered flight to bring back 1,500 students from Kyrgystan, flying them from Bishkek to Varanasi, India.
As this was going on, Sonu Sood started feeling bad as migrant workers were back to their land but were unemployed. He then in no time launched a website and application on his birthday called “Pravasi Rojgar”, the main motto behind the launch is to help all the stranded migrant workers find jobs relevant during the pandemic. In addition to this, Sonu Sood even started reacting to the tweets and news related to the hardworking farmers, jobless youngsters and started helping them in the way he could.
On 25 July 2020, a video went viral on the social media in which a farmer’s daughters are seen ploughing the field with a yoke on their shoulders, as their financial status was so bad that they could not even afford a Bull or Ox to plough. Sonu quickly reacted to the video and promised them to send a tractor and they received it in no time.
Moreover, on August 5, 2020, he helped 101 Medical students fly to their homeland Tamilnadu, who were stuck in Moscow during the whole pandemic scenario. He just was helping people without any expectations and got their love and blessings in return, what else does a human require other than love and peace of mind.
